Pokémon helps Nintendo America have best March ever
Last month was the biggest March Nintendo America has ever had especially thanks to the Pokémon franchise and the Nintendo 3DS system. After only one week on sale, Nintendo 3DS sold just shy of 400,000 units, more than 1.3 million Pokémon White Version games and more than 1.1 million Pokémon Black Version games where purchased, and to top it off, the Nintendo DS family of systems together sold more than 460,000 units.
“Both Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo DS family had a strong month, indicating that Nintendo has something for everyone,” said Charlie Scibetta, Nintendo of America’s senior director of Corporate Communications. “Nintendo provides people with the best video game experiences, from 3D visuals without special glasses to a touch-screen interface to motion controls.”
The Nintendo’s Wii console sold more than 290,000 in the United States in March, giving Nintendo combined hardware sales of more than 1.1 million for the month.
Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version are available now for the Nintendo DS and with the recent launch of the Global Link this week, now more than ever is a great time to jump into the region of Unova.

The upcoming Wii Play™: Motion game launches on June 13 and will have players smiling as they use their Wii Remote™ Plus controller (or Wii Remote™ with Wii MotionPlus™ accessory) in 12 new motion-controlled games. Wii Play: Motion comes packaged with a black Wii Remote Plus controller to deliver great value, precise motion control and immersive social fun that anyone in the household can pick up and instantly enjoy.
As Nintendo 3DS heads into its first full month of sales, a number of milestones are on the horizon to keep momentum going:
A free future system update will provide Nintendo 3DS owners with an Internet browser and access to the Nintendo eShop, which will bring consumers a broad variety of downloadable software as well as video game trailers, screen shots and related information. The system update also delivers a solution for Nintendo DSi™ and Nintendo DSi XL™ owners to easily transfer most of their Nintendo DSiWare™ games to their new Nintendo 3DS systems.
On June 19, The Legend of Zelda™: Ocarina of Time™ 3D introduces a completely re-mastered version of an epic entry in the beloved The Legend of Zelda game series. The game couples phenomenally enhanced graphics, stunning glasses-free 3D visuals, a touch-screen interface and newly implemented motion controls to provide a fresh experience. The game will also feature new challenges not included in the original game. The Legend of Zelda veterans can look forward to the Master Quest – a second quest with revamped puzzles and redesigned dungeons that feature the same graphical and interface upgrades as the main game.
Later this summer, Netflix members who own a Nintendo 3DS system and can access a broadband wireless Internet connection will be able to instantly watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix directly to their Nintendo 3DS systems. A Netflix unlimited membership is required.

Enter the Pokémon Dream World on April 13th?
The Pokémon Company International has announced that the Pokémon Global Link will go live on April 13th 2011, only two weeks after the initial date. Due to the devastation in Japan recently, the Global Link servers had to be shut down in an effort to preserve energy during the difficult few weeks after the natural disasters struck.
The Global Link is a website which syncs up to Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version in order to expand gameplay. You have a Global Trade Station website where you can track trades and statistics from around the world, the Battle Union where you can compete in official online tournaments and view your position on the global Leader Board, and of course finally there is the Dream World.
In the Dream World you enter the Dreams of one of your Pokémon. In this web browser-based online game you can decorate and customise your own home, grow berries, trade items with other players and even befriend rare Pokémon which you can bring back with you into Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version.
Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version are available now for the Nintendo DS family of systems, be sure to pick up a copy if you haven’t already so you don’t miss out when the Pokémon Global Link goes live next Wednesday!

Obtain a rare Eevee Evolution in the Dream World
The Pokémon Company International has launched a new mini-game on their website inspired by the classic arcade game Breakout. Basically you move a paddle at the bottom of a screen to keep a ball bouncing, you need to clear all the bricks scattered throughout the stage using the ball without letting it drop.
Certain bricks will cause spheres to fall down, each representing one of the seven different Eevee evolutions. You will need to keep your ball bouncing and collect these spheres in order to complete the game and earn a high score.
If you manage to complete all the levels, you will have the choice of receiving one of the Eevee evolutions you collected during the game. Once you’ve selected an Eevee evolution it cannot be changed, you will receive it the first time you connect to the Global Link service when it goes live in the next month or two.
Each Eevee evolution is at Level 10 and known an exclusive Dream World ability the Pokémon cannot normally learn, below are the seven evolutions available…
Vaporeon – Hydration: Heals Status Conditions in Rain.
Jolteon – Quick Feet: Speed increases when inflicted with a Status Condition.
Flareon – Guts: Attack increases when inflicted with a Status Condition.
Espeon – Magic Bounce: Reflects status-altering moves back to the opponent.
Umbreon – Inner Focus: Cannot Flinch.
Leafeon – Chlorophyll: Speed increases in Sunshine.
Glaceon – Ice Body: HP is restored gradually during Hail.
So for your chance to earn yourself an exclusive Eevee evolution in Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version, you will need to create a Pokémon Trainer Club account, sign in, and play the “Play to Befriend a Pokémon!” game today.

With the recent release of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, Pokémon-related news has hit a lull. On a broader spectrum, the Nintendo 3DS is only a few sleeps away being released in world wide (five days for Europe a week for the United States and 11 for Autralians) and will eventually be home to future Pokémon releases.
The Nintendo 3DS is similar to the current Nintendo DS system, the major difference is that the top screen is now a powerful widescreen display which has the ability to show true 3D visuals without the need for special glasses. Unlike other consoles, you won’t need to purchase a game with the Nintendo 3DS just so you can use it, the system comes with heaps of entertainment already built-in, the video below goes through all these features.
The Nintendo 3DS will be released in Europe on March 25th, in the Americas on March 27th and finally in Australia and New Zealand on March 31st 2011. You won’t believe the 3D display until you see it with your own eyes so visit your local Nintendo’s official website for details regarding Nintendo 3DS tours in your area.

Unlock the Relocator to obtain Zorua and Zoroark
The Relocator (Transfer Machine in Japan) is a hidden mode which you need to unlock. Once you have access to the Relocator, you will be able to send over your Shiny Suicune, Shiny Entei, Shiny Raikou and Celebi from your previous Pokémon games to Black and White Version. Only though the Relocator will these Pokémon activate their respective events, you will not be able to obtain Zoroark and Zorua if you sent them over using the traditional PokéShifter.
The Relocator can be unlocked in Castelia City, the tiny part of the city located past Central Plaza in the middle. There are two doors available, one to the left and another on the right, the left building is where you will unlock the Relocator. Head to the above floor and tell the scientist “Everyone” “Happy” and then “Simple” “Connection”, this password will add the Relocator to your main menu next to the Mystery Gift option.
Now you have the Relocator, you can transfer your Shiny Raikou, Entei and Suicune along with your Celebi to Pokémon Black and White Version, only these Pokémon can be sent over this way, everyone else will need to go through the PokéShifter available after you have defeated the Elite Four. Zoroark can be obtained in Lostlorn Forest when your team contains a Shiny Raikou, Entei or Suicune whilst Zorua can be found in a building in Castelia City when you have Celebi in your party.
